Titels: IPO.3 Kkl: Angekort (Lbz) HD: A ZW - 77 ED: A Details: We are pleased to announce the recent addition of Pepper von Kap Karthago to our breeding program. Pepper is a strong, masculine, medium size male with good pigment, excellent conformation and exceptional health. This superior stud has consitently high results in tracking, energetic and driven obedience - his absolute conviction in obedience is especially evident in the speed, snatch and grip on the dumbell in retrieving. He has powerful, convincing protection with incredible crushing grip and the intent to stop and dominate the helper at every opportunity. Pepper became (and continues to be) one of the most sought after studs in Europe at a fairly young age in light of his highly succesful and popular family tree, excellent health, correct conformation and solid working ability. He truly is the complete package. Pepper is from the highly successful Dinoso vom Eisernen-Kreuz. The "D" litter Eisernen-Kreuz was an especially successful breeding and has subsequently achieved global notoriety. Dinoso and ALL of his siblings have competed at either BSP, WUSV, or both. Sister Debby won the WUSV Championship in 2017, despite also being in season during the competition, making her the first female to win this prestigious event in history. Both the D and E litter vom Eisernen-Kreuz are indentical breedings and have both produced explosive offspring with incredible working ability across all phases of IPO. Our import female, Jira Ja Na Ka is also from this amazing family being an Edge vom Eisernen-Kreuz daughter. These dogs are all from the famous Quardes von der Staatsmacht. Quardes has progeny throughout Europe, the USA and is a true world class producer as evidenced by his being ranked number 1 Stud dog and producer in Germany for 2015. Quardes competed at the BSP in 2012, placing 6th and having the highest protection score. The same handler that took Quardes to BSP level (and owner of kennel vom Eisernen-Kreuz, Nico Kertzinger) also competed at this level twice with Quardes' father, Agent vom Wolfsheim placing 4th on one occasion (2010) which also meant a spot on the German WUSV team 2010. Nico also trained Agent's sire, Justin vom Pendel Bach who he took to the BSP 4 times, placing 2nd on one occasion (2003) so again part of the WUSV team Germany the same year. Not only that, he also placed 1st twice and 2nd twice at the Junior IPO National Championships in Germany. It would certainly make sense that a successful trainer/breeder would stick with what works and no doubt knows this family inside and out, making him a reliable and knowledgable breeder. Pepper's dam, Indira von Karthago is from Leon von der Staatsmacht. Leon is another highly consistent producer of dogs with strong, determined, purposeful and convincing protection work. Leon’s sire, Asko von der Lutter competed at both the BSP and WUSV 3 times, leaving both competitions a winner once, and as runner up twice. Pepper is an invaluable addition to our breeding here at Kovacs. We are thrilled to be one of a high number of successful kennels to take advantage of this incredible beast. Success produces success, as such, we expect to see some amazing progeny from Pepper. His next litter is due March 2020, which will be to Kovacs Uzi.
